Indian-manufactured medical devices intended for export may require a CDSCO export certificate or No Objection Certificate (NOC), and in some cases an Export Inspection Council (EIC) inspection certificate.
A Certificate to Foreign Government (CFG) is issued by CDSCO confirming the product is manufactured and/or sold in India in accordance with Indian regulations.

A Certificate to Foreign Government (CFG) is issued by CDSCO to confirm that a medical device is manufactured and/or sold in India in accordance with Indian regulatory standards. This certificate is distinct from other export certificates and is primarily used when importing countries specifically request verification of compliance with Indian regulations.
CFG is typically required by:
- Certain importing countries that have specific bilateral agreements with India
- Regulatory authorities that require independent verification of manufacturing compliance
- Import license holders in destination countries

- Export Certificate confirms device is registered/licensed in India
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) permits export after quality inspection

Applications for CFG should be submitted to the respective CDSCO zonal office with complete device documentation and supporting evidence of compliance with Medical Devices Rules 2017.
