Establishment licences are valid for 1 year and must be renewed annually.

Clock Stops

The review clock stops when MDA issues a query (Deficiency Letter). The applicant typically has 60 days to respond.

Tips to Avoid Delays

  1. Ensure submission completeness before submitting
  2. Follow MDA checklists for each device class
  3. Request a pre-submission meeting for novel/complex devices
  4. Respond to queries within 30 days (not the full 60) to keep reviews moving
  5. Track application status via MyMDA

Payment Timing & Refunds

Establishment and device registration fees are payable upon application submission via the MyMDA portal. Fees are non-refundable if an application is rejected or withdrawn after submission. Variation fees are due when the variation application is submitted.
